I bought this tool to help take down some trees and cut out some stumps. I also bought their chainsaw. This tool is hands down better than the chainsaw. I am super impressed with the work this small tool puts out. Highly recommended.

Have the reg non fuel version. Not the greatest. Really don't want to get into another battery line. But the reviews always seem really good for this thing. I use a pruning blade with my Ridgid recip saw and it works pretty good. I would like to compare the 2.

I like my hackzall, and I'm glad I have it, but it kind of sucks for pruning. It's good for roots though!

Chainsaws - whether it be the m12/m18 'Hatchet', or one of their top or rear handle chainsaws - work much quicker than a reciprocating blade...

Nice catch. Have to get the version with everything in the OP except it swaps one of the 5.0 batteries for a 2.0. Same price.

I'd say this is more better suited for relatively small branches where a saw like that would be overkill. Good for pruning things like agave, as well. One handed operation is probably the biggest perk of this, as well.

You can get the charger bundle that comes with a 5 Ah and 2 Ah battery for the same price as this if the charger is important. Or there's a bundle for $100 more that upgrades the batteries to two 6 Ah with the charger.

Careful with these they will pop out of your hand easily if you don't get a good grip and you might accidentally saw a finger or two off.

Same here.. but I have held both and stuck with non Fuel strictly because it was less bulky when using in tight spaces like under the house cutting out plumbing. But yes, agree with the prior comment definitely not for the limp wristed folks..
