I've been trying to find the racheting version of this with small sockets.

I have an old husky version but I've lost bits over time.

What's the use case for this say over a regular handled driver and on the other end a socket wrench?

I'd supposed you can put a lot of different drivers into your tool bag and not take up a lot of space. But if you lose the T-handle, you are screwed. that is, you cannot unscrew. Wink

I suppose this is more ergonomic and you can apply more torque with it.

But it looks like it's 1/4" so cant any 1/4" driver still work?

Don't see why not? Longer bits in a traditional handle might be unwieldy but I would think 1/4" is 1/4"

I have this and need to warn others, it rusts pretty readily. I'm in northeast, and perhaps it's the humidity and unavoidable. Never left out in rain.

I keep my dewalt set with similar bits oiled up in order to stop the rusting

Don't they attract dirt being oiled up?

If you use tool oil it's flashes off and gets dry and doesn't attract dirt. PB Blaster Surface Shield, Fluid Film, or T9 Boeshield are all designed to prevent corrosion without attracting dust and dirt
