Duplex printing and scanning (scan duplex in a single pass). This is the highest 400 class model with fax. The ones without fax aren't discounted. I don't know how much generic toner are or how well they work. We always buy genuine high capacity toner. 3 year warranty.

We primarily use the scan to email fuction and daily B&W printing and faxing once in a while. We don't use any of the other fuctions. We have about 20 of these 400 series MFPs and they are all still working (kock on wood). Our original MF424 is still running. We are replacing the black 200 series with these when they die and the 200 series die often.
