"Oh, sure. We'll wait."
After it's installed, "Did you level the appliance? I have a bubble level here if you'd like to use it."
"Oh, sure, we'd be happy to do that." And they take a few minutes and do it."Did you hook up the steam function? This washer has a steam function."
"Oh, you want that? Sure. We can get a steam kit from the truck." And they do. No charge. They are always nice and willing and never charge extra for whatever hardware is needed. But you have to watch what they're doing and ask.

Most of us buying a dishwasher will have an existing one to replace, so a majority of installs are simple and very routine for anyone who has done a few. I've done enough DIY work that I'm completely confident I can swap in a new dishwasher myself, although the old one is 30+ years old (thanks Kitchenaid) and if I can buy from Costco and get someone else to do it for at least as good of a price as HD, Lowe's or Best Buy, why not?
Been looking at units in the $700-$900 or so range, but I *almost* have myself convinced that I won't regret paying more for this one since it rates about as well as anything at any price.

My dishwasher install should be trivial but the old unit is 30+ years old and hard-wired. Been looking at stoves, too, to replace an old Caloric slide-in gas range that has been very nice. I'm looking at a large solar panel setup and would like to go electric but can't do that until I run a line for it, which will require a new breaker panel because the old one is full and from the 60's. I'm trying not to shell out $50k all at once for solar power and new appliances (gas water heater, furnace, dryer, stove currently) but that might be the easiest route. Some of these Costco deals are just hard to pass on, right?
