I've gotten many free trials in the past, I'm definitely not a new subscriber, and this deal worked for me, I got 3 free months and I wasn't charged anything.

Kindle Unlimited has seen an avalanche of shitty AI-generated content ingested within the past 2 years to the point that it's hard to find anything worthwhile in the library.

That's only half of the books. The other half are straight up stolen from other authors.
It's fine for free, if you have the patience to sift through the garbage, but I would never pay for it and support what amazon is doing.

I successfully complete two or three of these deals a year. (I get turned down for a lot of them, but it's only a click to check.)
My current promo doesn't run out until July 1, so I haven't tried this one yet.
Hopefully, we'll get an excellent Audible promo, too! $4.95 would get me to try again...

In case you don't know how this works, you can listen to the whole library, but you get one credit per month for an audiobook to keep when the trial ends. Sometimes, they have a two-audiobooks-for-one-credit deal (limited selection), and such a deal is running through June 28th.

When I click the link it straight up says $11.99 monthly. So I know I'm going to get charged immediately. It doesn't mention free trial anywhere for me.
