I'm using reolink doorbells for the front and back door, no monthly fees, uses ethernet cables for power (POE), bought a 4k 4 camera refurb system with dvr for $275 off ebay that's also reolink and they all work together seamlessly. I'm happy with them. Paid $70 each for the doorbells so about a $430 dollar investment for my security system.

I have a blink doorbell and it doesn't have a card slot or anything so I use their sync module with a usb thumb drive and don't have to worry about subscription. Can still see live and it saves events

honestly i saw the threat on here last november for $275 or whatever refurb and gave it a shot. I didn't need anything more than 4 regular mounted cameras

You're absolutely right. I found myself buying lithium batteries at least 3-4 times a year—seemed like every quarter. Factor batteries into the cost unless you're monitoring air.

I have been using Eufy for 3 years, ranging from 2k to 4k, indoors, outdoors, doorbell, duel camera, solar, no issues at all. The high resolution is totally worth it compared to 1080p. It's a bit more expensive than Blink though.

I'm surprised/disappointed I don't see an option for the 20% trade-in discount that made the other 4-camera deal SUPER slick (link below). ...and it's not b/c I had already used the trade-in, since I still see that option on other blink products.

this actually comes with sync module 2 which means you don't need subscription... you can just use sd card for storage
