What a bargain. 20 years ago I happily paid $100 for 1GB of ram, lol.

Our PCs were running with only 16Gb.
This is a nice upgrade.

Can you confirm timing and die used on the kit when you get them? I wonder if it'd oc to 3800mhz cl16.

OK, when it arrives; I'll provide jpg of the dram, assuming I can get the heat spreaders off.

Haven't studied for OC capability at all; just that this 3600MHz speed works well on Ryzen CPU,APU's.

Timing label is on the heat spreader. You can find die info using app "Thaipoon Burner".

Between this and gskill 3600mhz 16-19-19-39. I picked gskill. It turns out to be hynix c-die. It's not oc friendly nor taking on voltage.

CL16 is the sweet spot for Ryzen cpu. I hope you can oc to 3800mhz cl16.

Make sure your motherboard can support this clock speed.

My motherboard maximum is 3200 (for 11th gen CPU) and only 2933 (for 10th gen CPU). So it even matters which CPU you have in your board.

Dang. My 10 year old laptop had like... a $1000 cost increase to bump from 8 to 32GB of RAM.
What a universe we live in.

Also, you can't survive in active Windows 11 on 8GB anymore, sadly.

I just checked my amzn history and almost 1.5 years ago I paid $75 for similar specs except no Low profile and different brand: Teamgroup.
Today, same thing on amzn is $58!
Maybe PNY sounds as a better brand, but I do have 48GB Teamgroup RAM, one slightly overclocked, the other running at default specs and so far they been great!

Eh sort of not really since 32GB almost became standard during a ram glut over 10 years ago, and then things got stuck like they are now with gpus and such.
