with the new controller leaks, and the fall console mini- refresh - this price is not very hot unless you are dead set on having a disc drive and worried about supply long term.

I haven't looked at controller resale market, but the upside is that it's packaged separately afaik and you could sell it NiB to recoup some $$ to bring down from $450. hopefully someone can confirm the controller packaging.

It is a separate item as a bundle. I used to buy this and flip it during Covid. I don't flip anymore cuz I got a higher paying job. Ya know…more $ = more job responsibilities.

Any ways, this deal is not good but better than $499.99 without extra from other vendors

this was 399 the other day on Newegg.

Target had at 399 recently, so did BB.

If you have your alerts set, and act fast, yes I think you'll be able to get one in the next month with WM shopping event and Prime Days too upcoming.

Plus I think they'll sunset this default Series X SKU specifically and want to clear inventory. ​

Then in theory this should be discounted to $199.99 by holiday 2024! I'll keep waiting!!

I've been trying to avoid getting a console because I've had a lot of stuff to do and I know how I am with gaming, but there's been so many fantastic releases in the last 3 years that I don't think I can hold off any longer. I avoided watching elden ring gameplay because I knew that would trigger me, but now all this erdtree footage got me fiending. I definitely don't want to pay $450 or $500 for a console that you could buy new for $350 a few months ago though, so I'm really hoping you're right!

Argh console sale prices have been going in a WRONG DIRECTION. 3.5 years have passed since initial launch and there's no permanent lower price of $400 or less. Wasn't like this in the past.

Prime Day is really my/our last hope. This Costco deal has held as the best price out there since I've started looking the last few weeks.

The next deal after Prime Day won't happen until early Pre BF deal which is in October. Those without Xbox console gonna have to wait a LONG time by then. I'm so relief to have my 1TB One S to help ease up my itches to buy Series X. I'm ok to wait by end of year.
