About this game:
  • Operation Serpens is a fast-paced action game inspired by the nostalgic arcade shooters and action movies of the past and refined into a real adrenaline-pumping VR experience.
  • Join the unit of elite soldiers and choose your preferred gun to take down the ranks of the evil Snakes Organization to the very top. Whether you prefer to tank with a riot shield, headshot Snakes from a distance, or just charge in guns blazing, justice will be served. Whether you prefer to operate as a solo operator or as a part of a coop team, just remember sometimes to dodge the vast amounts of incoming bullets in order to not fail your mission.
  • Play the single player campaign, zombie survival mode, and co-op maps with up to four players, each mission bringing something new into play. So enlist now, pick your mission, and let the bullet-time flashbangs roll on the floor!

Graphics are at least a bit better with the newest update and for the most part fit the game for what they were going for imo.. If you used to love arcade light gun shooters this is more in the vein of that but instead of holding a gun and looking at a screen you're put right in the middle of the game world. It's just a fun, arcade like, throwback game that is def. worth $2 if it sounds interesting. Not a game for everyone but I get much more enjoyment out of these smaller indie games then the majority of the showcase VR games. Under Cover VR is another fun game like this but Crisis Brigade 2: Reloaded is probably still my favorite so far and is basically a Time Crises clone but done very well.

Thanks! I believe your link is for the UK, if that makes any difference.

I skipped the last two meta games and was going to skip this since the graphics look robloxish, but you said light gun like game. How could I say no to that.

Looks kinda fun actually. It's just low poly which has it's own charm.

I will say that when it comes to VR, graphics take a back seat. It's all about a really well done VR experience. Case in point: Gorilla Tag https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experi...j3k5hp3R#? looks like absolute poop but if I recall correctly, it's the most popular VR game there is. Yes, the fact that it's free helps, but still, game looks horrible.

Another game is Superhot VR https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experi...chlTKqRrO4 It's so low poly, its enemies aren't even textured, they're just red. But I heard it's an absolute blast to play and a must have. I just can't bring myself down to pay $25 for it. There are 18k reviews and almost 5 star rating.

Theres VR games out there with great triple AAA graphics. Especially if you have a good enough PC. Just not alot but its because theres not a ton of companies working on triple A graphic quality VR games. Its not a big enough market yet.

Super Hot in VR is really cool to experience. It's one of those games that you can show your family friends and then suddenly everybody wants a try.

Don't mind my yapping here, but for some reason I sometimes find it a little disturbing to play, even though I've beaten it several times. Violent games have never bothered me but something about it being so in your face can be a little unsettling. It's almost like it triggers your fight or flight response. There's also some minor self harm sequences that made me take the headset off and wipe the sweat off of my brow lol.

Overall, well worth the money and you can get a lot a little cheaper if you take advantage of an app referral.
