Expedia? Really Serra? I know your employer is after the affiliate fee, but what about the SD members not having to deal with a sleazy and complaint ridden third party seller? ALWAYS a thumbs down for "Poor Merchant Reputation."

Trust Pilot - 1.02 out of 5 Reviews 8,691 • Bad

Consumer Affairs 1.1 of of 5 Reviews 5,830

PEOPLE: Always book directly with the airline. Never with a third party seller. Always the same price or lower, and diminished problems if you have to change, cancel, or have any requests.

They'll refund you the difference if you ask for it though.

Compared to what? Just curious because the beaches we visit on the Florida gulf coast have typical prices of $200-$300 a night. Looking at a trip to Maui on hotels dot com and I see similar prices. Thanks.

I recently went back in March, flights are reasonably priced. But the hotels are outrageous and the food is just as bad in terms of pricing. I feel bad for those that live on the islands

I guess it depends on the level of the hotel, I'm sure there are reasonably priced hotels. I'm just pointing out the fact that the hotel deals are pretty rare as compared to flight deals. Last time I went to Maui a couple of years ago I used points to stay at Wailea Beach Resort, the cash price would have been over 1k a night for pretty much just a basic room.

I love southwest for that reason. I did that for Hawaii before and rebooked 3 times because the price keeps going down.

Ah. I typically stay in more moderate hotels. We paid over $400 a night at the hard rock resort in Orlando. That was a 1 night splurge! Lol. Always wanted to stay in a nice on-property resort at one of the theme parks. It was nice walking maybe a couple hundred yards to the side entrance to universal studios.

Nice! One of my dreams is to stay at the Grand Californian inside CA Adventure at Disneyland haha, I love the idea of having breakfast and then just strolling into the park.

What would a person spend there if they wanted a 7.5+ score on Expedia?
