The Blink UI is so bad. When you get a notification and try to open it, it says the camera is in use and won't let you see what's going on. You have to restart the app and half the time it still says in use. By the time you can actually see the live view, whoever was there is gone.
Blink doorbell is comically bad. I have many blink cameras and none of them work as poorly as the doorbell. I have a nest doorbell and I was hoping to replace it to have a single blink subscription. The blink doorbell disconnected or failed to notify so often I uninstalled it and sent it back. Just not a functional piece of hardware. Buy something that works. It's worth the extra money.
You might had faulty one. Mine has been working flawlessly.

My ring battery lasts only like ~2months so was looking to replace it. The doorbell+sync module and the pop for $35 seems like a great deal.

Is there any use for multiple sync modules since I already got one from that Costco bundle deal?

You can have multiple sync modules in your home network with different cameras assigned to each.

Same reason I switched from Ring to totally Blink. Depending how big the area is you want to cover with cameras another sync module might be handy. I have one on each end of my home and one in my garage. I use quite a few of them for wildlife so it helps for those that might not connect if I only had one sync module in my home.

I'll second that my Blink with the Sync Module and and micro jump drive works very well. The only I issue that I had was recording at the best quality and longest clip length blows through batteries. Otherwise, this is an absolute steal at this price with no need for a subscription.

That is a good deal. I have the blink service and get 10% extra off. Kicker is they take the discount off the original price. Got it for $23. ($8 for the echo, $15 for the doorbell).

I was having problems with my Blink Doorbell too; kept getting false alerts every time a car drove by my street despite the road being 25 feet away and the detection area was blocked in the app. (I'm thinking the light from the automobiles passing by was reflecting to the camera lens)

However installing the angled wedge helped to mitigate the issue. And the past 3 months the false detection problem has gone away entirely; I'm thinking that Blink did a firmware update.

Also, with the Sync Module 2 the doorbell can record directly to USB; no need for a subscription. Overall, if you can get a Blink Doorbell for under $20 and already have a Sync Module 2 you can have a decent setup on the cheap; the Sync Module 2 is key though as without it you will need a paid subscription plan to save/record.

I like the Blink XT2 cameras as well; you just need to use them in low traffic areas like basements, attics, inside garages etc. I use XT2s to monitor my oil tank to check the fuel level and heatpump water heater status without having to go in the basement for example. You can power XT2s via USB as well and they have free cloud storage. I recommend getting a few XT2s for cheap when they are available as they can come in handy IMO...

Has anyone had this and the ring doorbell camera? I've had the ring for a while and it never picks up anyone until they're walking away. Curious if this blink is better.

I have 2 wireless cameras and the sync module and am pretty pleased with the cameras, besides the range that it picks movement up at
