Not sure why you'd spend $100 more for a Hisense that's the same size. Frigidaire is a more trusted brand for appliances.

The term is not a marketing gimmick. The term means it can run at 38 to 110 degrees. A standard refrigerator is rated up to 100 degrees. I live in the South so it is a must have feature for my garage.

For those new to deep freezes uprights are great for easy access to pretty much all items but are not great for super long-term storage (6-9 months is fine largely) or frost accumulation on units that are not frost free because of the amount of house/garage air introduced each time you open it. Chest freezers while harder to get stuff out of are much better for super long-term storage. (Also, for most super long-term freezing you do not want a frost-free freezer as it's more likely to freezer-burn your foods due to both temp changes and a super dry environment)

If I did not already have four deep freezes and was looking for an indoor easily accessible one I'd pick this up but the 3 yr old upright Frigidaire from a previous Wally world deal is still going strong.

google:
Is an extended warranty on a freezer worth it?
In most cases, no. Paying for an extended appliance warranty is usually not financially beneficial in the long run. It's more likely that an appliance works properly or that the repairs are cheaper than the warranty cost than it is for the warranty to pay off.

Can I store milk cartons in this? Would it freeze? Thanks.
It's a freezer, so I certainly hope they'd freeze.

In theory a company won't warranty an indoor fridge if you keep it in the garage, hence 'garage ready' are usually more money but they are made to be put in the garage.

If you're spending $100 extra for extended warranty, Costco membership is only $60.

For items less than $1000 extended warranty is not worth it. Keep in mind the food in the freezer would be more than the cost of warranty. The wait to repair the freezer under warranty would cause you to throw away all your food. It takes more than 3 business days to get any type of warranty service to come out.

Guys 13 cubic feet is pretty small for a stand alone freezer. You'd probably be better off with 18-20
