I bought the bigger refurbished River Pro 2 months back and has been working flawless. Also, it has a 5-year warranty.

I have bought a couple and couldn't tell any difference in the product versus new. I have had no issues so far. Refurb doesn't always mean the thing is broken or blew up. People always mention that the refurb stuff from most companies have a higher quality assurance than new items.

I bought one of these units refurb a few months ago and probably paid more. It's been a solid device so far. Can get your feet wet and see if it blows up for a small price! lol

Contact Ecoflow, they are very prompt and profession in regards to support in my experience. In my case, I contacted them through their eBay listing and received help a few hours later.

I bought this last year. Its max solar input is 110w. So even with the 160w solar panel I got, it maxed out at 110w. So far, it charges up quickly in about 4 hours. It discharges very quickly too at the end, like from 30% to 1% in 3 minutes. I'm wondering if it's a defect.
Are you charging something?

Does this unit have some form of "power pass-through", so that I can leave things plugged in while it's charging....but doesn't incur any additional wear or tear on the battery itself?

Use case -- I have some relatively light-duty telecom equipment (router, 5-port switch, etc) that needs to be active to make a landline phone call. Normal UPS units typically only last an hour or so, since the "overhead" drain on the battery without power far exceed the meager usage I'm doing.

So I'm considering using this as a UPS -- but some devices aren't designed for that 24/7 use, as some don't let power pass-through, causing constant wear on the battery.

I went with the 756Wh and 160W solar panels option for $459 as it was a better deal for me - https://www.ebay.com/itm/14527092...media=COPY

Last time I bought Ebay, I might have been one of the later ones who bought and they shipped me a new one from Amazon fulfillment

for anyone who uses these things camping, could you provide some examples on what you are using this for?

I'm interested but I'm wondering how much this will improve my camping experience
Cpap machine, string lights, etc

Yes, this is actually what i use it for, like a UPS when im not camping or need portable power. Its my understanding it does have ac passthrough.

If you're buying standard lithium ion batteries, the answer is....maybe. But this is a LiFePO4 battery, these damn things can do 3000 cycles before they start to noticeably degrade. The 5 year warranty on a USED device is pretty unheard of, and it should illustrate that these LiFePO4 batteries are absolutely perfect for refurbishing.

Depends on what devices you're plugging into it, because this is not a UPS. More specifically, it is not an "Uninterruptible" Power Supply. It is an EPS, or Emergency Power Supply. According to Ecoflow, the delay on this thing when the power shuts off is about 30ms (milliseconds), whereas the delay on a proper UPS is basically zero. That's why proper UPS's are more expensive; the electronics required to pull that off are not cheap or simple.

If your electronics can handle that 30ms delay then this will work fine. But I have no clue what devices can or can't handle that. I'd say buy one and find out; flip your circuit breaker and see if your devices keep working. And then come back and let me know, because I'm very interested in whether or not this thing can back up my homelab! 😆

I was just running a 10 year old 55" TV off of this drawing 150 watts and had a black out, it ran through it fine for about 5 minutes and then the power came back. TV didn't flinch.

30ms delay is usually going to be fine for most things, I think you might know if it wouldn't. The comment you replied to with telecom equipment - I can say I'm 95% sure it'll be fine... Like you mentioned, if you're really going to rely on it for something you'd probably want to do a test to see.

Things that would not tolerate something like this would involve high draw and or not enough capacitor to compensate for a 30ms drop. If it's that sensitive then you're better off getting a real ups that'll have the better latency - and you can replace the batteries to be LFE *fairly* easily (this is another debate that I've found with personal experience to be fine, but you'll find plenty of people who will say that's a bad idea too)

Got one of these when it was last at this price to essentially be a UPS for a CPAP. The DC-in will also work with 7s lithium batteries I've built with cells from Battery Hookup. The 8A inlet at ~25V pairs well with this thing's inverter size. Too bad it can't charge the external cells on its own, but with an external AC charger on the bus I can effectively add permanent external battery power if I want.

Using with a solar panel and a DC fridge (cooler) would be the most obvious/beneficial use to any camper.. no having to buy or worry about ice, and you can fit way more in a cooler when it's not half full of ice. Some dual zone units can even act as a fridge & freezer for pop-ice or whatever.
Edit - for example: https://slickdeals.net/f/17578260-bougerv-12-volt-refrigerator-12v-car-fridge-23-quart-portable-freezer-compressor-cooler-12-24v-dc-110-240-volt-ac-for-truck-van-rv-camper-suv-travel-camping-152-99

How many cycles have you given it? Sometimes LFP power units like this need a few cycles to 'learn' the full range of the battery.
Some probably dumb questions... how safe is it to leave this power bank(powering your fridge? ) in the car in 100 degree weather and you go shopping or for a hike for a few hours?

For the DC fridge if you run out of power does it have good insulation and you can buy some ice to put in?
