i have this and paid 250 for it, two months ago. it has a imo pretty bad static in the rear surround speakers problem that is well known. i'm returning in my 90 day window unless somebody ever solved that. other than that its great, but thats a big other than. maybe it's some units have it some dont, or maybe all have it and some ppl dont notice (my rears are close to my ears behind my couch due to limited space, maybe thats part of it) , idk. and i was hoping a fw update might solve it, but there is no such thing as a fw update for this unit.

i did a lot of googling for discussion about the issue on sd and reddit, nobody ever found the solution afaik. one guy tried these things called ferrite rings, they are supposed to reduce radio interference, you clip them around either the speaker cords or the power cords. since they were 10 bucks on amazon i tried them cus i really wanted this to work, it did nothing, best explanation i read was that since the rears automatically connect to the sub via bt and not a wire (like my former vizio, which never turned on with the tv correctly) thats why the static. but idk. doesnt seem like it. a lot of things use bt without static.

shame because that i can tell this is the only 5.1.2 unit with up firing speakers for a reasonable 250-300 msrp (regardless it's been on fire sale at wm a few times for 129). vizio has a 299 atmos bar, but no up firing speakers at all it's just a 5.1. the next lowest vizio model with up firing speakers is 399. so if you want dedicated rear surrounds, sub, atmos, and up firing in a inexpensive bar this is it seems like.

Store near my work was cleaned out other than the demo display unit. Might try a couple others in town but guessing this will be like most Walmart YMMV in that it's very YMMV.

As expected, this deal (like all Walmart clearance) is extremely YMMV. Had the day off so I drove to 3 other Walmarts around me and none sported any existence of this soundbar (no demo, no leftover signage, etc).

Did find the new onn. 5.1.2 Atmos system in stock, but I'll probably wait for another deal to come along or its price to drop below $200.

Had to return this because of the static as well, really sucks because I did like how it sounded a decent part of the time. I tried the ferrite, I tried all the things listed in all of the reddit posts that I'm sure are the same ones you read, nothing happened. I actually bought two sets because I was so excited at the price (this was a few months ago) and both had the same exact issues

That and no center channel adjustment caused me to just move on though, I only buy a sound bar every 5-10 years so I don't want to be stuck with something I can't fully enjoy
