Last year was odd (if I recall correctly). The better deal for the Pro's was actually a few weeks before prime day, I think part of it was that stock got depleted beforehand because of the better deal. I remember Prime day last year being a disappointment for snagging a Pro.

Samsung SSD hype is pretty much baseless, the name is pretty much the reason for the higher prices even though they've got some high end drives. In any case, this isn't a great deal and better drives have gone on sale for less- recently.

In my experience, the warranty has been absolute garbage three times. I'd recommend a WD SN850x or even SN770 instead if you can find a competitive deal. Sk hynix is also supposed to be good but I don't have experience with their warranty service.
