Just bought this and installed 2 weeks ago, it is great! It is so quiet. We had a Craftsman chainlink opener before I can hear that thing opening and closing in my bedroom. Finally it quit and we got this one, I love it!! It is very quiet. Easy to install. The manual is helpful when there's problem. We did replace the laser sensors too because for some reason my old ones didn't want to work with the new garage opener. Once we replaced them with the new ones everything was great.
The keypad is a little smaller than what we had before, and I wish the buttons were bigger. Also, you do need to put in the code then click the open/close button to get it to close. Before we could just hit the open/close button to close it. But it's ok, we don't really use the keypad to close it that often.
The wifi and app works great. Wifi is easy to connect following the app, Aladdin connect app is compatible with my Alexa too. No subscription fee.
Really surprised how quiet this is. The opener it self really doesn;'t make much noise at all, the only thing I hear is the spring cable when it's rolling up/down, the pulling sound. If you have a rather new garage door or the spring cables were kept well I really think it will be quiet.

Does anybody have this model? I have a whisper drive, and I like it, but it's not smart. I'm wondering if it is worth it to switch

How are the smart features? Do you have to pay a subscription fee for them? Just trying to view whether its open/closed and be able to open/close it from a phone.

Is it silent or still makes noise but just not as loud as traditional openers?

Aladdin app works pretty great, I can share with family members, get notifications when they open and just today got my first in garage delivery as this is compatible with amazon key delivery. Highly recommend genie openers, had mine for approx 2 years now.

I have this (5 years strong) and it's great for my 1 door. Not sure if it's enough for 2.

I have the non-wifi version that I picked up for $180 a few months ago. I would've gladly paid $20 more to have integrated wifi.

The installation went well and it has been perfect ever since.

Our garage doesn't have a side entrance door so battery backup is very important for us. Otherwise I'd have to break a window.

I installed a similar Genie with battery backup last year for my mother. I don't want her to have to mess with opening the door manually in case of a power outage.

Just looked up my SD sears opener that I got after I bought my home. I bought it 12 years ago for $165 + tax. It's 3/4 HP. This seems no brainer. I hope there is an alert for garage left open..

With any battery backup, you should test it once a year to make sure backup battery works. When using backup battery, it will open and close slower.

If you install this yourself, the wall door controller should light up red. If it doesn't, flip the wires and it will.
