SIMPLE, JUST follow the instructions or YouTube it ( use basic tools you all should have) . I hate it when a professional charges you 500 for labor. First timer ( 2 to 4 hours), once you complete one successfully then it's like ( 1 to 1.5 hours)

Both good choices. But the Genie Wifi is an Open Platform so you can use your Ring, Amazon or other connected Apps to work with your Genie Opener.

Lowes advertises $180 for install. Is it worth it just to have them do it? That doesnt seem bad

Absolutely worth it to pay the 180 bucks for installation! I had just mine installed. The guy was a super pro, did the job in less than 45 minutes. There is just too much where you don't know the details and these guys do it with closed eyes. I also don't want to deal with recycling the old unit. I would say that was one the best 180 buck (plus 20 tip) I have spent.
