Yes, you should be worried as the drone would be banned from using FCC spectrum nationwide. No one is sure how existing drones will be curtailed to use the spectrum (Maybe it will be in spirit and the existing drones can fly without a hiccup) but Iwould personally not buy a drone myself until further clarity is provided about the ban

Really good deal. I just got this (but the "Fly More" combo). Love it so far, but it's also my 1st drone. The obstacle avoidance is very impressive.

This particular package comes with the standard size battery, which is actually what you want if you want to stay under the 250g limit (where u don't have to register it). The Fly More combo comes with the extended battery, which adds ~3-4 min of Fly time, but pushes it past 250g, triggering the broadcast ID feature, and requiring registration.

You're right. The "Fly More Combo" is 3 regular batteries. The "Fly More Combo Plus" has 3 extended "plus" batteries.

Personally, I think the upgrade to the RC 2 controller so you don't have to use your phone every time is worth it.

What's the best deal anyone has seen on this drone but with the remote built in screen? About $1,100? Wonder if amazon prime will throw these into their savings.

It's a mini. Weight is less and approved in most places
Thats not the issue; if DJI is banned from operating in the US, most of the navigational abilities of this drone can go kaput quite fast.

As long as you remember to turn 9n obstacle avoidance...I will say impressed that my mini 3 pro spent 20-30 minutes underwater with no apparent negative effects

I upgraded to the rc2 remote and love. Sure, it's not a necessity but I find it worth the extra cost

Please don't buy a drone until they clarify the ban.

And even THEN, it's not like they won't change their minds AGAIN and ruin the hobby completely. Love my mini 2, but I'm enjoying it on borrowed time and know it.

I hate doing the updates and recalibrating all the time. I wonder they're going to fix this with AI or something Jesus. We're in 2024 and they can't figure that out yet. And they get all this money?????

I find that hard to believe as I fly straight into the ocean against Galveston inbound winds and my Mini 2 doesn't "struggle". In doubt two times was even enough to learn how to turn on sport mode.

I ended up getting the DJI Mini 3 Fly More combo off amazon for $440 for a starter drone.

I really wanted the M4P for the tracking and obstacle avoidance features, but going to hold off on....
1. The Ban, lets see what happens
2. DJI is rumored to release its Mini 5 sometime later this year, kind of how phones have yearly drops for updates to stay competitive.

At this price, I would rather buy the Mini 3 (already bought). If DJI drones get banned, I am simply out $300 bucks vs. out 700 bucks.

The Mini 3 is really a no brainer.
