Yes, you should be worried as the drone would be banned from using FCC spectrum nationwide. No one is sure how existing drones will be curtailed to use the spectrum (Maybe it will be in spirit and the existing drones can fly without a hiccup) but Iwould personally not buy a drone myself until further clarity is provided about the ban

Really good deal. I just got this (but the "Fly More" combo). Love it so far, but it's also my 1st drone. The obstacle avoidance is very impressive.

This particular package comes with the standard size battery, which is actually what you want if you want to stay under the 250g limit (where u don't have to register it). The Fly More combo comes with the extended battery, which adds ~3-4 min of Fly time, but pushes it past 250g, triggering the broadcast ID feature, and requiring registration.

You're right. The "Fly More Combo" is 3 regular batteries. The "Fly More Combo Plus" has 3 extended "plus" batteries.

Personally, I think the upgrade to the RC 2 controller so you don't have to use your phone every time is worth it.

Could also buy direct from the DJI the refurbished unit for similar price, the entire bundle for $746.
I recently bought the Fly more combo with RC2 controller (w/ screen) for $880 (DJI refurb). Unit came like new with all the new accessories. Added 2 year care refresh. Total $1004. 1% DJI credit and 2% cashback at certain not-retail-me website.
Units come in and out of stock. No brainer.

I bet drone sales have sharply declined....like every other luxury item has the last few years
Actually it's the opposite people are buying too much people are spending too much that's the problem That's why they didn't lower interest rates yet. The economy has to cool down. People are spending money like crazy customers are spending money when I give them an estimate they say when can you do it They don't even care about the price on the type of work I do They just want it done people have money and they're spending it

Thats not the issue; if DJI is banned from operating in the US, most of the navigational abilities of this drone can go kaput quite fast.

I hate doing the updates and recalibrating all the time. I wonder they're going to fix this with AI or something Jesus. We're in 2024 and they can't figure that out yet. And they get all this money?????
You only need to calibrate the first time it's flown. I've owned just about every version of DJIs consumer drones. I rarely have to calibrate more than once over years of using them.

I used the drone mostly for international travel. So the ban if passed should have no effect for my applications.

I'm in a 0 ceiling area near an airport. What's the odds I can get a license to actually fly this?

Why does everybody assume these drones will be flown in the US? I use mine mainly when I travel overseas. Them prices should keep dropping, cos I have a few clients overseas with cash in hand to buy em.

Does this drone have the follow me feature? And will it be able to keep up with me on my scooter (30mph)? Thinking about using a drone as a dashcam.

No, you don't. It's your money that you can spend whatever you want. However, the space belongs to our home land, we will protect it against our adversary spies.

They're not going to take away your drones. That'd be unpopular and impractical.

With or without a license, you definitely cannot fly a drone near an airport.
