Put some plastic wrap around the magnet so that when you remove the debris you won't have all those tiny iron shavings stuck inside the crevices where the magnet is attached.

Put some plastic wrap around the magnet so that when you remove the debris you won't have all those tiny iron shavings stuck inside the crevices where the magnet is attached.

$6.99 for the same Performance Tool rebranded magnetic pickup tool https://www.harborfreight.com/hea...t8QAvD_BwE but that's if you have a HFT near you. Obviously they often go on sale at HFT, as well.

EDIT - the HFT "only" claims a 25 lb capacity, so if the PT is truly 50 lb capacity (doubtful) then the PT might be worth the extra money.

I like their more expensive ones more because they are of course better, but yes- this one is gonna do better than the handheld.
