I bought a refurbished unit from eBay nearly two years ago to use in a baby's room. It came with a brand new filter and continues to work great. Sure you can find a less expensive stand alone air purifier, heater, and fan but to have all of these in one device that does not get hot to the touch, has no visible fan that a kiddo can hurt itself with, and does not take up too much real estate is pretty beneficial. Also, you can make adjustments through the Dyson app, monitor air quality, but keep in mind you cannot turn on the heating element through the app anymore but that part was never a deal breaker. Lastly, night mode on these units is pretty sweet, it makes its operation as quiet as a white nose machine so it never woke up the kiddo.

Just my 2 cents.

FYI. Warranty is by allstate not dyson. Not sure if these include new filters or used ones so factor in replacement filter cost ($80)

There is no way Dyson is shipping these with used filters 😂. I hope someone can chime in on this from past deals because if they are that a BIG issue.

Dyson's stuff is engineered to fail almost immediately following the warranty expiring, and they end up not supporting their previous years models for repairs in any event. I will never purchase another Dyson product in my life.

Do these still make grinding sound when they turn? I bought the HP09 a while ago but had to resell because after 3 exchanges they couldn't fix the noise. It was by design.

this filter is the least of your concerns, you better search up the dreaded F3 error code. I got a refurbished one, not this model, the one just for cooling, and after a month or so it now turns off randomly with F3 error code. Sometimes you just have to power off/on to get it back on, and sometimes that doesn't work, gotta unplug it for 10 seconds, but it is super ANNOYING.

I believe this , not sure why so many people down vote. Obviously people who downvote have no knowledge of product development or engineering practices. All companies run tests and within the constraints of the warranty time . They don't profit making things last forever.

I got an HP04 from their eBay store. It stopped working in 5 minutes. Their customer service is basically non-existent and sucks. I had to just initiate a return via eBay before they did anything.
