Steve Koecher missing since 12/13/09! The family is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the resolution of the case.

His car was found abandoned in Henderson, NV at a 55 and over community, it had been there over 4 days.
Residents called the police when the car had been there for so long.
We have a rental house about 2 hours from Henderson & Steve has lived there for about a year.
I hope he is okay! It seems unreal that he is really missing.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding Koecher to contact the St. George Police Department at 627-4300 or the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at (702) 229-2907.
He has been on the news in Vegas and St. George. There are putting his pic on milk cartons sometime soon.

The last time the neighbors saw Steve was 10:30 pm Saturday night (12/11/09). John across the street said saw Steve & his car there for about 20 or 30 min and he was gone by 10:30 pm.
Sunday morning (12/13/09) a friend from his church ward called him and ask if he could teach a lesson that day.
Steve answered and said that he was in Vegas but he could come back and teach if they couldn't find any one else.
That was the last time anyone heard from him or saw him.
On Thursday the Henderson police called Steve's parents because his car had been at a 55 and older community, since Sun, abandoned.
His parents filed missing persons on Friday and hired a PI.

I know what you mean about that SUV! WS said that it belongs to a realtor, but I found it odd that a realtor (who should be familiar with that house if they're trying to sell it), would go to the end of the street on a cul de sac to get to the house. Why pass the house? Someone said they may have done it to park on the right side of the street, but that just seemed odd to me.
Also, the Webb guy they keep referencing.I hope they do check him out more since he was the last person to talk to him before he went missing.
Based on what everyone is saying, unless he had a mental break down I just don't see him walking away.
Don't you find it odd, though, that he had money from his mom and grandmother and didn't use any of it to pay you guys? He sounds responsible so it's odd that he wouldn't want to take care of that.
The cops definitely have their job cut out for them.
my biggest suggestion is this: hire a psychic/medium. I know lots of people don't believe in them but I do. It might get things moving again.Please, no. One contacted us unsolicited and said Steven was dead. Not a fun experience.

I thought also that it was interesting about the Susan Powell connection..coats in the car and the presents for the kids..were they addressed to his nephews?? Mayve he was going to help them escape to a safe house but was found out before hand...

I paid attention to the Elizabeth Olten case too! That is so tragic. I post on insessions, because I just read a lot of stuff about WS's and got scared away. You have to give them your ISP email address or work email-- you can't give a generic one, like hotmail, gmail, yahoo mail, etc.. So I never registered because of that..

Sorry to go off-topic... but that case captivated me (now I am consumed with the disappearance of Baby Gabriel --- which reminds me a lot of the disappearance of Caylee Anthony.. similar poor excuses for mothers -errr..more like egg donors!).

VERY intriguing post. I go back and forth with thinking he met with foul play or just had a mental breakdown.. I am leaning towards mental breakdown. It happens - look at Jennifer Wilbanks, Nicholas Franscisco and that guy from here in Houston that I talked about -- Matthew Wilson.. just to name a few. I hope that if that's what happens - he gets help ASAP. VERY sad for his family, but if that's what happened --sometimes people just can not deal with pressure and use this is an avenue of escape.

Still not much has been found.
I hope that he is at least ok physically and alive to be found because something happened, he either had a mental break of some kind and felt he had do get away or something in a bad way happened to him.
