This is only my personal experience but Levi's quality has really tanked in recent years. Started to only get maybe 6-8 months (12 if I'm really lucky) out of their jeans before they'd rip, usually a hole in the knee. The material feels so much thinner than it used to be. I will say, I might not follow the wash instructions to a T but that doesn't seem to affect other brands I have. I've started paying a bit more for jeans with other brands and get so much more life for the money.

These are probably the rejects. Bad cuts and weird washes (colors).

I completely agree. For me, the crouch area gets worn out in the same time span.

I have in past received either fake or some sort of lower quality from Amazon for Levis jeans. Purchase at one store and then order from Amazon and the quality and fit was night and day. Just my experience on top of the overall decline in Levis quality.

"stretch" denim is not denim.

It's been known for years that buying clothes on Amazon is a huge risk due to fakes. If they ever match a retailer (in this case Macy's), you'd be foolish not to buy directly from the retailer. I'm surprised people are still willing to gamble with knock offs by buying clothes in Amazon. I'm pretty sure fakes/counterfeits are the reason why Nike refuses to sell their clothing on Amazon.

From what I bought, 6 out of 7 pairs were good, 3 different style/materials, 2 of each. This was a great deal.

1 was an oddball return and the material looked like they had sandblasted it a little too heavily.
