This is definitely a great value because it's free!
That being said, I have one month left on mine and I think I've used it once in the past 2-3 weeks.
Their coffee is really, really bad!
I know I can't really complain when something is free but I've gotten to where I'd rather pay for coffee that I actually enjoy drinking somewhere else.

For the lazy, like me:

Subscription provides eligible subscribers the following subscription benefits: drip hot coffee, iced coffee, hot tea, fountain soda beverages, and bubbler drinks (e.g., iced teas, lemonades, and other bubbler beverages) once every two hours during normal bakery-cafe business hours, including unlimited refills

Had the free trial in the past and even then it's not worth the aggravation. Ordering ahead is useless because they don't put the cup out for you or make the drink. It's also out of the way to go to the one Panera bread in town that's generally out of the way. Would rather just spend the $2 at a gas station for iced coffee or fountain drink.
I did these free trials since they started the sip club. so many throw away emails used and having to cancel and yada yada. now, i just keep a large Panera cup and walk up in there and take my soda and leave. who needs a free trial. the sip club ain't even worth it tho. if you're a coffee drinker like me, 99% of the time their ice coffee is DISGUSTING. it took me forever to pinpoint what this weird ass taste was id get in the iced coffee randomly... one day I tried the black iced tea and was like oh, that's the taste. these morons are mixing the ice tea and ice coffee.

but for real just keep a cup and nobody is gonna say shit to you. they don't even put the cup up for you. they expect you to DIY so I DIY and bounce with the same cup for a long time now. 6+ months ago. the employees dgaf, why hassle yourself with free trials

Our panera waters down all their drinks/the syrup ratios are totally off, i tried the mountain dew and the diet the pepsi, I had the free membership for 3 months and didn't go back after the first week. The coffee is just gross. Feel bad for anyone that actually pays for SIP Club.
Yeah, quality varies a lot by location, way more than I expected. I pay for SIP Club because location near my office is primo as far as Panera goes.

How often does this deal come around. I'll try this when I'm in the office more often.

What's the consensus on tipping etiquette for Panera? I have tipping fatigue/confusion post-pandemic and not ashamed to admit I've been doing $0 tip for my orders (all in-store, usually just a drink and sometimes a pick two or something simple).

For actual sit-down restaurants with a waiter bringing my food, my usual is 20% tip because it's easy to do in my head... But it feels wrong for all these corporations to put the onus on consumers to pay their workers a fair wage.

Exactly this. I used to get a coffee and cinnamon roll occasionally and would actually pay for the coffee. I'm not a coffee snob, but it always tasted like charred water.

I don't want it even if it is free.

If it's counter service, you don't have to tip.

My retired uncle meets with his other retired buddies weekly for coffee at Panera. This is perfect for them, even if the drinks are terrible... just a nice, reoccurring opportunity to get together

I agree.. the panera by my house has garbage coffee... it does not taste good or fresh no matter what time of the day I go there. By 2 PM they are usually out of lemonade. I would take it if it is free but would not spend a dime on the membership.

No, that won't work unfortunately. When you cancel an existing sip club you retain the membership until the end date. Cancelling just stops the auto charge.

Additionally, I tried using this promo on an account with a long expired Sip Club membership and it received an error that the promo was not valid for returning members.

I instead spun up a new account with a new email (Gmail+1) fake phone number and different CC and that worked fine.

An alternative is to make sure to sign out of your account before following the link. I stay signed in on the app and saw this offer when I was ordering a second family drink incognito mode.
