Don't buy for the multiplayer. Servers are now full of cheaters as typical of EA, they abandon the updates and anti cheats once another new game comes out. I had thousands of hours(feel free to judge me, I have a lot of free time) into this game and as soon as bf2042 came out, they stopped updating it and slowly but surely aim bots and all sorts of mod cheats became available. Made competitive gaming or just plain enjoying the game impossible.

I played the first campaign and half way through the Norwegian campaign.

Then EA software kept bugging me and wouldn't start cuz of Denuvo nonsense.

So I uninstalled the game. I had it on game pass so it didn't really cost me anything to walk away.

I appreciate the devs for putting in the love and care for the game, it takes a lot of people and a lot of hard work to make something like this. But I ain't willing to put up with EA software nonsense.

Steam charts says about 27k players right now and 45k peak in the last 24 hrs, so I think you'll be fine playing with others.

EA abandoned security updates once the next BF came out and at least the PC version is full and has been full of cheats for a long while now, basically making the game unenjoyable.

EA put out security patches recently for PC to combat cheaters, like within the last 2 months or so. I play console, so not sure if it fixed everything, but the issue your pointing out may have been resolved.
