I wasn't happy with this plastic model. It gets too warm and meat gunks up--everything works better cold. I switched to the metal model and have been much happier. My primary application is making sausage (which would really warrant a standalone appliance, but I don't make nearly enough sausage for that), So YMMV if planning on just ground beef for burgers.

Agreed with getting the metal. Plastic eventually will break and collect bacterial if not washed well.

If you want your meats to stay cold, freeze the attachment for 10 minutes (longer for the plastic). That way, you will not result in mushy meat.

After using one of these for years, I can say don't buy. Don't even buy the metal version. Got a standalone $98 LEM and it's crazy what the efficiency gain is.
What used to take an hour takes minutes often clean up takes loner than grinding on the stand alone.

I second this. I would also suggest getting the LEM grinder foot switch.

The torque is just so much higher on an actual meat grinder. It makes mince meat of options like these.
