Great price! If you are spending more than $50 and able to pick up in store be sure to select "Ship to home" first for the "Switch to store pickup and save $10 off your next $20 online order" offer. It appears on the cart and after picking up the $10 offer is added to your Lowe's wallet.

Wood Whisperer did a great video and article about parallel clamps, specifically whether or not a completely square head was even necessary.

Regardless I have 8 of these Jorgensen clamps and never had an issue over dozens of glue-ups

I did this during Black Friday thru Christmas. It worked twice and then I got nothing. Since it did not work the 3rd time, I returned the items from that purchase.

Thanks! Grabbed a pair of 36" clamps in-store this morning. Scanned at regular price, but they were happy to adjust to the sale price.

I only wish that the 48" clamps were also comparably priced. 60" seems overkill, but I wouldn't mind something longer than they 36"ers as well.

Untested, but I think the 60" could be cut down to a 48 with a hacksaw or portaband or angle grinder. Might have to also drill a hole for a pin, I forget what that end is like. That was my plan when I got a pair of 60" the last time Lowes had this deal, but I haven't done it yet. You could leave them long, but they are pretty heavy and the extra length can be hard to work around.

Looks like they're owned by a chinese company based on the manufacturer name. Are they produced overseas?

That is what I was on the hunt for this morning, another 48 inch clamp. I made two light duty 48 inch clamps that just aren't cutting it anymore. I stumbled upon the 36s first and then noticed the 60s were about $5 more. I agree, probably overkill, but hey, that's what woodworkers do.

confirmed. if i remember right it was tough to drill thru the bar though, so plan to have some GOOD bits if you go this route

I didn't cut mine down, but I added an extra hole for smaller glue ups. I think anyway... maybe I started trying then gave up because the bits I had nearby were cheap and I didn't bother?

clamp is packed up somwehere so I can't check

Thanks, looks like I only had two to redeem last year. Will see if it still works once the clamps come in tomorrow.

Is the size the lenght of the product, the rod itself? Or the max width they can clamp? I'd rather have too much length than not enough. 48" means not clamping any wider then a sheet of plywood, right?
