Interesting comment - not refuting what you're saying, just that our experience with them is the complete opposite. We freeze quite a bit of food with the freezer bags and have zero issues.

Maybe give those a try for non-freezer use?

Hack to get around $10 min
(easier on the computer)

1) sign into your account.
2) add the item or items you want to buy.
3) add ANYTHING else to hit $10.
4) proceed to checkout where you are entering your card information.
5) copy and paste link to a NEW WINDOW (doesn't need to be incognito) or just duplicate window.
6) go BACK to delete the item you don't want in one window, go forward to confirm checkout after deleting in the other.

These are the absolute worst Ziploc style bags I've ever used. Many fail on the first use. Most fail after a few uses.

Sorry, I should have differentiated. The freezer bags are better. On par with other budget bags, in my experience (which still isn't great). The basic ones are pretty bad though.

Ty for clarifying. That makes way more sense. We just buy the freezer since that's 75% of what we use bags for. Now we know to avoid the non freezer bags if we ever need any

They can be challenging, have to be gentle with them compared to 5x the price bags

May be 5x the price, but you'll probably get over 100x the number of uses.

I bought 12 of these last time they were about $1/each. You get what you pay for. We store lots of leftovers/marinate meats and the zip part doesn't stay sealed very well. Just a heads up.

We only buy the freezer bags in this brand and the quart and gallon sizes have held up very well.

Appreciate the comments on these.
I just bought some at Target yesterday and was going to pick these up but now I may stick with what I have.
I've had pretty good luck with generic freezer bags from Target.

Yeah, Target's bags are some of the best. The Walgreens freezer bags aren't bad, especially for storing stuff when traveling.

This did not work last time for me. I tried doing this and it and it still ended up charging me for the items that amounted to $10 or more.
