A family member was taking 50k ui of vitamin D once a week when blood tests revealed a VERY low level. After a couple months and some trials we found that a 5k once a day was better. Still WAY more than daily recommended so levels were rising but without odd side effects of the single 50k pill.

When it comes to making decisions about my own health, I always reach out for anecdotal sharing.

The Kirkland brand isn't the same strength.
Costco *does* have this exact product, Natrure's Bounty D3 125 mcg/5000 IU. The bottle is 400 softgels for $9.99 (It's $4 off right now) as part of their July Online Savings.
So 400 for $9.99 or 480 for $10.45. Slightly better deal on Amazon if you get all the same savings stacks.
