What is different between "Made for MagSafe" & "Compatible with MagSafe"?

Marketing of these differences is terrible! So confusing!

I would imagine no difference or very little difference and it's more a matter of licensing (not paying for the MagSafe branding which will increase sales (as you alluded to questioning the purchase).

There is a difference though I'm not sure what term applies to which. The cases with the magnetic circle in the case are stronger and will grip the charger better. The cases without the circle will still charge and will orient the puck, but the hold isn't as strong and will separate easier.
