It still surprises me how much I enjoyed this game. I got it on PC a couple years after it came out expecting a drab zombie grind fest, but I ended up not only really enjoying the story but the gameplay as well. They do a really good job of metering out your ability upgrades and complexity of zombie battles to keep you curious and hooked til the end. They really respected players on this one. It really does feel like a cross between a "good" Ubisoft open world game and a quality square arpg.

Same here... I really don't normally play zombie genre games or horror games, but this game really pulled me in. I think it's a good story, and the gameplay progression and difficulty keeps you wanting more. Definitely recommend to those who haven't played yet!

How is the PC translation compared to PS? Any hiccups?

Imperfect but entertaining. The characters, story, setting, and missions are all bland and repetitive. The gameplay and horde mechanics are good fun, and worth putting up with the rest.

Not sure if I would pay $10 for it or wait for cheaper. It's fun but redundant. Probably at least 40-100 hours of gameplay which is worth it.

This is one of the only games where I did not find the story boring. The inexplicably short motorcycle range is the worst thing about the game by far. Until near the end of the game half your attention will be devoted to managing and refilling your gas tank.

A solid game under $30. A must-buy at this price.

Go in with low enough expectations and this is a good game on the PC. No, the voice acting of the protagonist isn't going to dethrone Arthur (RDR2), you won't sense an overwhelming amount of chemistry developed between the characters, the story won't eclipse Last of Us Pt 1, and the ending won't generate a long playlist of Youtube gamers openly weeping.

I think the story is good even if it could have been told better, been more in-depth, and been built on over a longer period of time. The primary weak spot, imo, is the character dialogue. At times it's pretty weak and contrived, other times there's yelling when its not clear why there would be yelling. However, it's all forgivable due to the good game play which includes getting gutted by a blood lusting pack of zombies only to return later to maniacally burn them to the ground, deliberately leaving some stragglers to taste the business end of your bludgeoning weapon of choice. Good clean fun.

Buy it and let the game ruminate a bit while you play it. Don't rush to the end game. Life is short. Take some time to smell the roses while you fertilize them with freak meat.

Not ever going to happen. Just a couple days ago, the dev came out and said people need to move on.
