I have used this more than once in year's past - in fact twice on the same account at the same time (set up a separate log in for my wife (they issue a different card number for each authorized user) and both her card and mine showed the offer and we were able to each get the $45 credit).

Process is to simply active the offer; use the card to add $90 to your Mint wallet; $45 credit will appear on your next Amex statement. You can then use the $90 Mint wallet credit the next time you need to pay for a plan. I've done this multiple times before in the summer, but didn't use it until January (when my annual plan was up for renewal) without a problem.

You can; or if I remember correctly if you check the URL after you select the $20 it ends in "20" and you just remove that and replace it with "90" and the next page will be for a $90 load

Doesn't expire for almost 2 months so things might change by then. I know other member like Mint Mobile that's the only reason I posted this.

do you have to talk to Mint support to load $90? I could only find an option to load up to $20 to wallet.

I have this on BCE. But it's 20 off a single transaction of 45 or more.
45 is a lot of money for my usage.
I have Visible unlimited 25 per month that works much better for me.

fine print on my 45 off 90 offer specifically state this is not valid for device purchases, only service plans.

For my case, I don't really need 2 lines of unlimited for 3 months each. But it's a pretty good deal for that if you need 2 lines, which works out to be about $8/line per month for unlimited. Not too shabby.

I just spoke with Mint support and this was their response: "You can only purchase on the 3 options here which is the $5, $10 or $20 to your Mint Mobile wallet. You can actually add it up and the daily limit for storing your Mint wallet is only for $60.". Possibly they changed it recently if in the past you could load the wallet with $90 in a single transaction.

Would it count if I load $90 to my mint wallet?
That's my thought. Load 90 get 45

That's neat trick, but when I tried that, it loads $85 + 8 "recovery fee" + $2.14 taxes&surcharges = $95.14, making this $50 for $85 credit. That's much better than nothing, but still that's a lot in fees/surcharges.

Yes, likely they would've pay more for better coverage like the big 3 carriers
I might be weird, but I have an amex platinum and a gold.

had verizon for years, switched to mint and my coverage got significantly better.

recently switched from mint to usmobile, which is verizon based and my coverage got worse again.

will be switching back to mint at the end of this contract.

fwiw...

I just did it and the work around still works, but in typical Mint fashion they add a bunch of made up fees; some of which are 100% BS. Alll of the local fees (city sales tax, RTA fee, etc.) are NOT charged where I live; then there are the taxes on basically a gift card - which are all illegal.

It's honestly a class action lawsuit just waiting to happen...

BASE CHARGE AMOUNT$ 85.00
RECOVERY FEE $8.00
TAXES & SURCHARGES $1.38
FEDERAL UNIVERSAL SERVICE FUND $0.68
STATE SALES TAX $0.35
IL PREPAID WIRELESS 911 CHARGE $0.17
CITY SALES TAX $0.07
(RTA) REGIONAL TRANS. AUTH. $0.04
FEDERAL COST RECOVERY FEE $0.03
IL STATE EXCISE TAX $0.02
SIMPLIFIED MUNI TELECOMM TAX $0.02
TOTAL CHARGE AMOUNT $94.38

Me too! Since I have the offer on more than one card… Might wind up loading up $90 twice… And then not having to worry about next year's $180 annual renewal …. it will be effectively half price… ($45 back on each Amex card)

hmm, it looks like it treats this as a plan renewal rather than loading funds on wallet. There are no fees (except recovery one) if you use one of the provided in UI options. Also if you set the amount in the URL to, for example, 85 - then the page breaks and shows $0. Did the wallet balance reload successfully after the payment completion?

Hmmm…

Now when I look I have the full $90 credit in my Mint wallet; but Amex shows $94.38 pending.

I'll have to see what the posted Amex charge ends up being.

Nothing on my cards, yet. Will keep watching and hope to see something before my renewal in September.
