this drill is absolute dogs**t. do not buy this. not even for $70. dewalt makes like 20 different models at the moment, some are great, some are pointless, and then there is this dogs**t

it's huge, it's weak (300 UWO), it has no reason to exist. get the DCD794D1 kit. some power in that drill but at half the weight and size. same price too.

EDIT: DCD771 is also trash. don't get that either. their other drills are fine, for the most part

it's huge, it's weak (300 UWO), it has no reason to exist. get the DCD794D1 kit. some power in that drill but at half the weight and size. same price too.

EDIT: DCD771 is also trash. don't get that either. their other drills are fine, for the most part

Was gonna get this model from Amazon for $99 last week but instead gotten the dcd793d1 model from Instacart Lowe's With $40 off $80, free shipping and combined with the $20 off $100 Instacart gift card from Costco, pretty much costed me $67 or so 😊

I have the dcd771c2 kit, which has 4.8/5.0 stars. I got it in March 2022 from a similar deal. Going to this from my corded black and decker changed my life. Before then, I didn't know how good a drill could be. While I'm sure you're right that there's better drills that probably cost more money, that doesn't make this drill dogs***.

The tool kit has some good stuff as well as some tools that you don't use regularly..they just want to sell the misc ( no use or rarely used tools) with the good ones..

if you can sell those tools individually on market place or cl thats a great deal

I have this drill. The ratings are good. There is a tradeoff in having the heavier metal chucked model and how often and for what tasks you use it. Most home and do it yourself folks will get years of use out of this and it's lighter weight build. Personally, I'm a DeWalt guy and started moving to Milwaukee M12 Fuel products for weight and performance. Don't make this drill a daily or professional use drill and you'll be fine.
