Looks like an unwanted and unsellable product by Amazon
Probably they should bundle this with Fire stick\TV for free...to get rid of the inventory

Well, I want a smart IR blaster, but I'd rather not be tied to Amazon's Alexa ecosystem.

I have one of these and cannot recommend it even at this price. There appears to be very little continued support from Amazon for this product and it just quits working all the time. Browsing online for a solution shows that there are a lot of users having the same problem.
