Kind of like, viewing how real people have conquered the odds and done better for others without the movie trying to convert anyone in religion.
I am NOT at all religious and sounds of freedom exposed a real life story of which helped bring down child sex slavery, it did not eliminate child sex slavery but made aware.
cabrini, a story of a nun arriving in the usa from italy whose strong determination and strong personality to assist orphans worldwide through her actions was not bible thumping as well. Her actions made positive changes versus not.
this movie, sound of hope is a true story of a family in texas, i believe whom wanted to support foster kids later adopting them and convincing countless others in their town to follow suit, an act not commonly followed by many whom could care less about others than themselves.
the other film ( i did not view yet) is about a Chinese man whom was growing up during the Chinese cultural revolution when universities were shut down and the youth went to labor camps. that man later migrates to the US and becomes an eye surgeon and invents a procedure used around the world to restore the eyesight of people. not really heavy i understand regarding religion and a slam to Communist China more than anything.
I believe anyone can have an open mind, be they religious or not and envision how some peoples actions performed better than the bulk of others whom may not care to challenge the norm.
I do not believe the hogwash comments regarding do not watch an Angel Studio film cause they are religious is plain ignorant cause i believe most of the naysayers would not even take the time to watch the movie, free or not free and express their valid opinions (as i am now doing) regarding any of their films but instead tell others they may get converted in some type of religion. that is hogwash...
None of their films are going to usher myself to a church. To me it is like watching a documentary about a famous person whom did not waste their lives for themselves and instead did something for someone else. Even unreligious people as myself can view the value of a good film and still not believe in religion.
You are entitled to your opinion regarding Angel Studio films as well as i am entitled to convey my opinions about even non-religious folks like myself whom view merit in stories by people whom do something for another whether that person themselves are religious.
The deal is the movie is free to watch.
if you wish to watch any movie, that is fine too. If you do not want to watch, that is fine too.
But, to state that the movies are practicing any form of proselytization is not correct ,IMO.
Judeo-Christian morals are woven throughout our culture, and Angel Studios is just trying to make sure those don't die, and they're likely to if somebody doesn't put them in the spotlight as good. We're surrounded by attempts to demonize those morals, so it's refreshing to see a polished attempt to reclaim the narrative around what makes us great: love, faith, sacrifice, goodness, hard work and persistence.

It is crazy but there are people who want to buy you a ticket. You have find a date and a time.and then put in a request. You are put on a waitlist but it should be fulfilled.
Just like Sound of Freedom if you requested free tickets last summer.
After the movie, they ask people to scan a QR and pay if forward ...buy a ticket for somebody else. Movie has 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Have to believe that they are using the same strategy as before. Give away a lot of tickets, get people to pay for other people, word of mouth, and some involvement with the religious folks. Sound of Freedom stayed in the theater through September even up again Barbieheimer.

There is no doubt that Angel Studios get churches involved in seeing and promoting this movie.
They're pretty crafty actually. Package their message in a movie and give it away for free. Easy way to reach non-church-goers.
