I was thinking about the 34" Samsung Oled for a bit cheaper.. any thoughts on comparing the two? Same resolution.. both Oled..

Lg has 240hz, Samsung is 175hz.

Think LG uses WOLED whereas Sammy is QD-OLED. I personally prefer the latter but pros/cons and individual use cases are different.

I actually just returned mine. Took a week to get here just for it to have lines down it where the panel curves. Get it from Best buy if you can so you can easily return it if it's got issues. (It was brand new, just a bad panel.)

They won't, but weirdly enough they would price match Dell when I got my Alienware monitor years ago.

That is a good point, the QD I think is a little brighter and more vibrant.

bit higher literal brightness (lower color brightness) and lower PPI on this one. Personally the biggest difference - depending on which samsung oled you're talking about - is the 800R curve here. It's too steep for my liking making this a no-go

bought this monitor last month on Amazon for $999. i was skeptical about the 800r curve but got used to it quick and dont really notice it until i see how flat the 1800r curve is on the monitor next to it lol. my monitors are also about 3 ft away.

If its the only monitor on your desk you wont notice it while sitting in front of it.

Got this after using the dell alienware OLED 34 inch UW. Size matters. The extra height is def noticeable and a nice change. HDR doesn't pop as much as the dell and text is def fuzzier due to 39 vs 34 at same reso and the different sub pixel layout. But this is literally the only OLED right now at this size. I prefer aggressive curve so non issue for me. Gaming looks fantastic, and text looks like enough for work

Also doesn't have the annoying OLED screen clean message every 4 hours like the dell.

I paid 800 for the dell and 1000 for the LG and thought it was worth it for the size difference. for same price, no brainier for me. Ordering this and returning the best buy bought one for $300 savings with cash back.

Is it a 1 week return policy? And is it returnable cause of dead pixel issues?

some people will get used to it and won't notice it after a while. Other people don't get used to it or are actively annoyed by it.

This is 39 vs the 34 of the Samsung. Same difference in ultra wide terms as a 32 vs 27 inch monitor
