I haven't played frontiers yet but played superstars it's not a bad game it feels like a classic 2D Sonic games and it looks and mostly sounds great. But the co-op feels tacked on and useless other than a few boss battles (sometimes it's a negative) also there is some glitchy game physics and clippings I experienced. But I still enjoyed the game. probably deluxe DLC was just costumes I never bothered with them.
Thanks! I ended up going for deluxe for Superstars and normal non-deluxe for Frontiers. Steam forums had people mention Frontiers Deluxe didn't add much value (soundtracks only playable in app, poor looking shoe skin).
Deluxe versions of Sonic Superstars and Sonic Frontiers worth it?
Sonic Frontiers base game is a steal at that price. Best 3D Sonic game for the past ten years. Launched at "Overwhelmingly Positive" on Steam and released free DLC including a substantially better finale, which was the only real weak spot of the original game.
Deluxe Version not super worth it, get the base game. (It gives you a fistful of progress collectibles and the soundtrack, which a free DLC lets you swap in-game. Can't speak to the digital art book.)
It looks different than expected but the feeling and playing are stellar IMHO

Agreed. Been playing Sonic since the beginning of time and Frontiers is the best game since sonic adventure on dreamcast IMO
