Why do all these new smartwatches make us tethered to the charger on the daily? I see from the reviews that some people are getting less than 18 hours of battery life even with AOD off. Unlike phone charging, charging a smartwatch requires quite a bit more work. If you use the watch for sleep tracking, and you don't charge it at night, are you supposed to bring the charger with you everywhere you go?
Do those $20 Amazon smartwatches count?
edit: yes, it does per Samsung rep. in for one!
Yes it does. I bought a no name smart watch for $8.99 last time and it was approved. JUST MAKE SURE YOU TAKE PICS OF ALL

edit

This was the one I got in Nov or Dec. Sold out now but you can get any smart watch. try temu, walmart, amazon.. fb

Been a user of smart phones for 15 years and yet I fail to see myself ever using a smart watch. I used to work for a Samsung company where I could have gotten the Samsung smart watches for discounted price but I did not buy one because I never found the need for it.

I frankly hate to scroll through these mini screens or make my eyes binoculars to find that one app logo which looks familiar in the small screen and tap that. In addition listening to phone calls with my hand close to ears is just a lot more work. I have never been amused or been fascinated by their looks and the concept of another screen on my hand rather than a masterpiece of a product what I call it as a watch - the ingenuity behind those tiny mechanical parts, etc. And the fact that I don't have to change a battery (I have a citizen's watch) or neither do I ti worry about it dying after a few years because the processor isn't good enough.

Watches are antiques and if you can spend a lot of money to go after these $150-$800-$1000 digital watches every few years I am sure you can spend a $200 to $500 max on an excellent watch or a timekeeping device that will be long lasting and worth every penny to adorn a jeweled look on your wrist and hand.

Companies like Apple and Samsung are out for businesses. They will come with a newer version every year because they want people to come to them and stick with them once they become a lifelong patron of their brand via Apple or Samsung phones. They will now find ways to make sure their customers revolve around their single account usage and all the electronics tied to the same account.

Apple watch was a good concept but the look of a shiny black screen or display on the hand and a silicon band wrapped around makes me refuse the very idea of having such watch on my hand. It looks like a TV screen that is not ON, on a wall.

Now companies like Apple and Samsung will not want you to just stop after buying the watch once. Every year they will come up with "new features" although how much more can you change in a 40mm sized screen besides software and minor hardware and then customers rush to get the "latest, state of the art" devices when they could just do with a smart phone with large enough display to not cause stress to your eyes and a simple watch to just lift your hand to look at it and tell the time.
I use the heart rate, body composition, and exercise tracking functions on my smart watch every day. A regular watch can't do that.

During checkout, it says "The price of the item(s) in your cart has changed". The price increased from $109.99 to $167.99
I'm getting the same thing and the trade in value is $0. It looks like even if I remove the trade in, the price is $167.99

I have been very satisfied with the Samsung Fit3. Almost 2 weeks of battery life on default with no AOD or sleep tracking SpO2 turned on. When I turned those on it was around a one week battery life. Also the watch was only $60 without any trade in

yeah this is such a simple and obvious point I don't understand what the other guy was trying to say with all those words other than "they aren't for me". *shrug*

What about battery, as most of the reviews are about bad battery which doesn't even last for half a day?

These are cheap enough. Have two of them. Which is better, paying $100 more to wear a bigger, bulkier watch with longer battery, or swap out lighter watch while other is charging?

Exactly why I tried out the OnePlus watch 2 after my Samsung watch 4 started struggling after about 2 years of use. The OnePlus watch has two separate chips to conserve power, I get to the 4th day without charging no problem, this with all the same settings I had in my Samsung watch (all smart features on). Only downside is the phone app isn't as nice as Samsung but the device experience has been on par so the 4x battery life in my case has been an acceptable tradeoff.

All these trade in abusers, one day samsung is gonna be not lenient on trade in condition
Considering their trade-in page says "Any Smartwatch, Any Condition" any trade-in "abuse" is Samsung's own fault imo.

Agreed. They should work with USB-C...these proprietary chargers need to go

I bought the 6Classic, which was great for about 12 hours. I went with the Fit3 and after turning off AOD, I get about a week of use. I wasn't using the advanced features of the 6Classic, so I basically wasted $200 on it.

Thanks in for one 40mm. The 44mm doesn't allow add to cart. Should I trade in my watch4 or buy a cheap smartwatch and sell my watch4 on eBay?
