Why do all these new smartwatches make us tethered to the charger on the daily? I see from the reviews that some people are getting less than 18 hours of battery life even with AOD off. Unlike phone charging, charging a smartwatch requires quite a bit more work. If you use the watch for sleep tracking, and you don't charge it at night, are you supposed to bring the charger with you everywhere you go?

And That's why the smart ones go for the Solar chargeable Garmins that can go on and on as long as you get some sun everyday.

No, you don't bring your trade-in to pickup. After pickup, you'll get an email and/or text message with instructions on how to mail in your trade-in. I got an email about 40 minutes after picking up the new watch.

Don't know if this is YMMV, but I've successfully traded the original Fitbit Charge a year or so ago. It had a display and showed time as well as few other things, so might have been good enough for whoever evaluated the trade-in. For what it was worth, chat agent also told me that this is a valid trade-in before I made the purchase.
