Why do all these new smartwatches make us tethered to the charger on the daily? I see from the reviews that some people are getting less than 18 hours of battery life even with AOD off. Unlike phone charging, charging a smartwatch requires quite a bit more work. If you use the watch for sleep tracking, and you don't charge it at night, are you supposed to bring the charger with you everywhere you go?

I hate that. Wife's Samsung watch has required daily charges since new. I got a garmin and I can go a week between charges. It's the same reason I left Samsung phones years ago- terrible battery life.

I get more like 50-60 hours with my Watch 6. I turned off AOD and notifications for most everything. During the day, I'll put it on a charger while sitting/standing at my desk. I also put it on the charger when showering and sometimes watching TV (I don't need it to remind me that I'm sitting on my lazy butt).
So... You don't get to use your smartwatch the way it was meant to be because the battery life is ass?

they need to beef up the damn battery life

I have the MI Band 3. Just charged it and the screen is at the pairing stage. Downloaded MI app and it doesn't even support that old version anymore. Think I can trade it in? I have an Amazfit but rather turn in the Mi Band 3
SAME. My mi band 3 won't pair... I wish Samsung or Google would make a band instead of bulky watches. I love mi bands with the exception of shit support in the long term as we mentioned

I am only able to order in Chrome Desktop.
The price is $ 30 higher because only the 44 mm watch has the best discount.
I also lost my $ 30 first responder discount.

I use it to tell the time, track my sleep, count my steps, and receive notifications from a very small number of apps. I think that is what the majority of smartwatch users use their watches for. Do I want it to last 1-2 weeks on one charge? Of course. Am I fine with charging it every 2nd/3rd day? Yes.

Garmin VENU 2s / 3 or Vivoactive 5 can last for a week or two between charging.

Why stick with Apple or Samsung when their watches only last a day, and they're really not that smart to begin with? They have so many years to develop something a true smartwatch but still not moving any needles. Most people use watch to track their activities, health, make calls and get time only, a gadget that simply give you 24 hrs battery life is such a big annoyance.

Apple is just creating useless apps and unnecessarily complicated hardware for the watch when most people here, as proven, rarely use any of the smart features.

It's not the battery, it's people getting the wrong tool for the job, while Apple and Samsung are more than happy to build for people like you who love chasing after product upgrades.

Apple, Samsung and Google watches are just inferior to Garmin watches. Period.

You have really proven my point.

Think outside of Apple and Samsung.

hmmm....

oh and only the 40mm Gold with Small / Med band was available for this price
I had that issue but got the trade in to show using these steps.
Click on watch6 classic, trade in shows. Select the brand and model, click through to accept the trade in then change the watch to the Watch6 and the trade in should still be there.

Let me know if that doesn't work
