Local Lowe's has the Dewalt Random Orbital Sander on clearance for $164.50. Might be a unicorn though. I checked a few other Lowe's in the area and everywhere else was on clearance as well, but at a price of $263.17. Still a solid price, but not $164.50.

Smokin deal, available at my local stores that stock this too. I actually paid 160 out the door for an open box one on Amazon which at the time was a great deal, buy now think later for sure.

I bought at about this price a while back and am happy about it.
I found the 3/4ah compact batteries (single row of cells) work best. Makes it lightweight but lasts a bit longer. 6ah lasts a very long time, but makes it very heavy if doing an entire vehicle.

Question: can this be used a random orbital polisher for my car ..is there any difference between a sander and polisher .All I see is one is appended by letter 'B'.
Any inputs are appreciated.thank you

This is a polisher that can be used as a sander, it's primary function in life is a DA orbital polisher. The letter tells you what comes with it, B is bare tool, letters and numbers are type of battery and quantity (EG the other deal the other day was a P2 which was 2 5ah batteries included) On a few tools they describe a feature (like hog ring on an impact wrench for example) but there's only one version of this tool just different battery combo packs.

Thanks for sharing, was able to pick one up locally for $164 and even summited it as an online order so they pulled and held it for me while I drove over. I have been looking at these for a couple of years, but $300 was just not realistic.
