So, I love Wera products, and own two of these sets in this deal alone... However, not having the security hole for the T8 and T10 is frustrating when trying to work on electronics and stuff like I often use my set for. Means I have to carry another two tools.

So do you not recommend this?

Personally, I'd just go for the normal (longer) set, and then get a different set if I was needing something to work with security screws.

I have this set. It's good, and I like the color coded sleeves. Only complaint is the sleeves fit pretty tightly in the case, so the keys aren't always the easiest to get out. I prefer the Wiha swiveling case for ease of access (dad has that one), but the Wera keys are just as good.

Isn't this a pretty standard price for this set? Haven't looked at it in a while, but I remember it always bring high 30s

I don't really see the issue... most of us regularly doing electronics have a dedicated driver set with security bits and all kinds of bits actually, because you run in to more than just torx.

edit: Also the t10 does have the hole, just no ball

So there is both Wera and Wiha. Are both good quality?

Yes, both are considered premium, so you'll pay more. The build quality is insane though, you 100% get what you pay for. These are "buy once, cry once" tools.

Note that L-keys are not covered under the Wera warranty policy as they are considered consumable. On my hex wera keys I've had some of the holding function balls fall out and I was bummed about the warranty carve-out.

Slight worry that security hole weakens the key head such that they could deform on non-security high-torque applications
