Fyi, this is 59 db at 1/4 load, versus the same sized Wen inverters at 50 db at 1/4 load.

For those asking about what appliances it can run, just check the tag or spec of your devices. Nearly everything shows power consumption in watts or amperes.

If the total wattage is under 1600 W. If you don't have a sticker on each refrigerator , look for the model online and do the math.

What is a generator of this size used for? We just got their bigger one from Costco as backup power for our 5th wheel and it's great. Just trying to see if there's a "need" for a smaller one.

Any idea if this would also run a small window unit A/C?

I bought the larger firman on refurb and it's been great for my RV! I would say these smaller ones would run most things BUT air conditioning

edit: have to clip the coupon in the checkout.

-59 dB at 1/4 load

Is this considered a quiet generator?

Yes, as long as it has a "soft start" there's also devices you can buy to put in between the generator and the AC which will act as a soft start kind of like a capacitor

bought two of these refurb firmans. The more their prices go up (i bought last summer) the better the deals are that I paid. This is a nice little genny. Parallel two of these for 4000w at $400. Again, a smokin' deal.

I'm looking for a way to power a pellet smoker away from my house without running a long extension cord. Would something like this be a better option than a big battery backup like an ecoflow or Anker?

If you already have a battery-bank type of solar generator with some solar panels, a unit like this could be used to charge that up quickly when solar isn't an option due to bad weather, aka: a generator for your generator (battery).
