Others have posted about the D/Addario electric guitar strings, but I also found the acoustic guitar strings on sale at Amazon. $14.79 for a 3-pack is a great deal for these strings.

Yep, just tested it. The addtional 10% works if you buy 4 packs

Or alternatively you can buy 3 packs and $4.63+ of something else, such as the XL Nickel electric strings for 5.99

I have been using these strings for a while now, on both electric and acoustic, and have no complaints. But I'm not that great a player, so a professional might have a better insight on high end strings.

I can't stand them either. I tried them years ago and they had a dull plastic sound to them, plus the strings quickly started shedding their coating, leaving flakes on the guitar.

I'd pass on these in favor of their phosphor bronze strings. They'll sound better and last longer
