Looking for something like this but maybe not so high a quality, any recommendations?
That aside, does Ridgid make a cordless one? Or maybe there's a universal table I can attach my Ridgid circular saw to?
Yes, I know, I can do a search. But real life experience is 10x better than search results that rank high because of SEO, not truth.
I did a lot of research and bought the big brother to this one. You won't find a better table saw value right now ime. If you are good with calibration, you can make most saws cut precisely, but table saws bring repeatability and efficiency, and you really want to be able to set them up and not have them drift off the mark. I can make perfect cuts with 2 clamps and any guide board that is straight, so if you're on a very small budget, stick with that for now or build a 'track' jig. I was unwilling to compromise on the rack and pinion fence, which are by far the most stable fences available on compact table saws. There are a few, like the Skil compact saw that manage to shave $20-30 off this price when on sale, but I think you're sacrificing a lot with an overall cheaper build to save only a few bucks. This is the cheapest saw I would consider and it's pretty standard for contractors bc it's very reliable. Like other table saws, it can become very versatile with an out feed table and a basic sled.
This deal was previously posted but marked as expired because they seem to run out of the free stand every few days. It was out of stock when I first saw it but I saw it in stock last Thursday and ran to Lowes to buy it. I couldn't find the stand in the store and learned that the website saying '3 in stock' was only referring to the saw, not the stand. The guy who worked in tools said he didn't think they ever stocked the stand so this might be available online only. Who knows, Lowes has terrible inventory management and their employees seem to know less than what's listed on the website.
I was able to order it online and received the saw and stand together in two days. It's still sitting in the box next to me. I haven't tried it yet, but in my research it seems most people agree this is the best value table saw even before considering the free stand. The runner up seemed to be one of the skilsaw brands which is typically a slightly lower price point.
This deal doesn't actually exist. Stores don't sell the stand anymore and you can check out online with the stand.
Yes it does. I got the free stand when this deal was posted a last weekend. Bought online and the stand was shipped to the store since they didn't have any in stock. Took less then a week.
