the model before this had a 10inch blade instead of an 8 inch. if you can find that one used on fb marketplace etc...its a lot more useful than this new one.

Dewalt still makes the 10 inch table saw. They are different, concurrent models. The "compact" and "portable" 8 inch saw is the DWE7485 while the 10 inch saw is the DWE7491.

Of note, the DWE7491 with rolling stand also has the $50 coupon. At $550 its not exactly a deal though. The X model has a $100 coupon bringing it to $579. Again, not really a deal, but anybody wanting the 10" and doesn't want to wait can have options.

This is an excellent deal if you need a table saw now. Its biggest limiting factor is its blade side and you can't use a Dado blade setup with it. The rack and pinion fence is spectacular and the saw is great all around. I've used it a few times and wound not hesitate to buy if I needed one. I ended up going with the Skip table saw for $249 because I wanted the 10 inch blade capability, and the built-in
Leg stands . Both extremely capable saws at this price point.

If you do not have any need for a dado blade or cut 3 1/2" material, then this table saw should be fine. This does not come with any type of stand so that has to be factored into the equation.
Many at home woodworkers have to move their equipment around as needed. Having the table saw on a stand with wheels is very worthwhile. Cutting full sheets of plywood is easier to do with a circular saw and a good straightedge, unless you can afford a track saw (single purpose saw).

Got mine from that deal. Really nice little table saw. The rack and pinion fence is so great after using other saws without that.

What's Dado blade setup ? Did you mean Diablo's blade?
