I ordered this XFX RX 6800 Speedster 16GB for $315, open box:

https://www.microcenter.com/produ...phics_Card

It comes with the original warranty, minus a month or so.

YMMV on availability.

Very good price, but isn't $315 for RX 6800 with 16GB (twice the memory) a much better deal?

Also, is a 4060Ti significantly faster than a 4060? People seemed to be so displeased with the 4060 in general that I have not checked benchmarks.

Recent reviews for the 6800 are concerning so I likely will not be picking mine up:

BOUGHT OPEN BOX AND DIDN'T WORK
Bought this for around $370 after tax and was hopeful since it was sealed as if it was never used or opened. I install it and ddu the old drivers and install new ones. I play a game for about 20 minutes and IT CRASHED. Tried to see what could be wrong w it or if it was another component (pcie cable, not enough psu power in my 650W, incompatibility with my motherboard, etc.), it even got a small part of my case window REALLY HOT, and so I tried this. I bought the same card from Amazon NEW and NO CRASHES. Leads to believe that the open box card is faulty, probably DOA. Caution yourself buying open box items.
No, I do not recommend this product.

So I got a dud, it had this issue where I would be playing a game and then randomly without overheating (no the cpu was not overheating either) the screen would go black while everything else in the PC was still running, the only thing that would shut off was the gpu. To get the screen back on, I would need to turn it off all the way manually on the tower, wait a bit, and restart. I had more than enough power supply, it was not a ram or driver issue as some suggested on reddit, it was not overheating, everything I had was compatible (I checked a million times). After three weeks of trying every fix and tips i found from friends and people online, long phone calls of people trying to help, nothing would fix it. Only Stardew would run but the old crusty laptop I had before building my pc ran Stardew and way more so what was the point. Anyways I returned and bought a different card, a asus 7700 xt and am very happy no issues.

After upgrading from a 1660 I thought I would get more fps, after installing this gpu I had nothing but problems. I definitely wouldn't recommend

With the 5000 series down the road it seems like this should be cheaper at this point. I remember the zotac cards got around this price a year back. I ended up getting an open box 4070 from Best Buy for $430, no regrets.

As someone who loved Fry's Electronics in its heyday here in Phoenix, every time I see one of these in-store MC deals I think about how much we enjoyed nerding through a giant computer warehouse back in the day. Closest MC is Tustin I think, have never been in one. Man I wish they'd open a location here!

I have this card. Purchased new. I hate it. It's performance was always lackluster and it got hot relative to my 6950xt. I would opt for a nvidia 4000 series or a used amd 6000 series.

Dont do it. Its prob been mined to near death. And yes, mining actually has more wear and tear on a card than gaming despite all the BS stating otherwise. coming from an ex-miner myself.
