Have to Verify identity on Total by uploading ID to third party and face picture with port number. They have better phones like Galaxy A54 if gonna do all that.

At this price, you could get this and one of those phone gaming controllers like the razer kishi or gamesir g8 and have a nice setup for streaming/cloud/remote play and play store games.

Metro has the same phone for $29 + $75 for the Metro Flex Plus Plan = $104 plus tax. Will this unlock in a year on metro with just one month?

I would pay $49 more if it unlocks in a year versus locked to boost forever…

Yeah, their low or mid level phones do feel sluggish. I have had multiple flagships that felt really snappy. Currently daily drive a 2.5 year old S22 Ultra 256GB that feels really fast. Makes me not want to upgrade for another year or two. Lol.
I just "upgraded" from a cracked screen S22 to one of these and couldn't be happier. It feels faster, and the interface is better.

I also get my headphones jack back!

One year of active service to unlock it, right?
Boost mobile unlock policy is 1year and phone line must be fully active with uninterrupted payments.

Wait, so this Moto G stylus 5G 2024 phone requires 12 months of paid service to get it unlocked? It's not possible to just pay for the 1st month of service and cancel?
Yes you could BUT Boost will not unlock it until 12 months have passed.
SOME people have been lucky unlocking phones with codes bought at eBay

Good to know, thanks. Ordered this from Total Wireless for $100 with port in. They unlock in 60 days. Much better deal IMO if you want an unlocked phone.
I usually buy my phones via Metro. The last two that I bought were the Moto G Stylus for $40 with 1 month of service. You have to wait 6 months to unblock but pay for only one month.

For Boost, how many months of service do you have to pay for ... 1 or 2?

Damn, I thought it was 60. Read this after placing an order. Gotta wait to receive the order to cancel. I already have another Moto Phone and no use for it.

Metro has changed their policy to 1 year now unfortunately.

Trade in to what? I don't believe Samsung offers anything for Motorola.

You must authorize autopay with whatever method of payment you use. I don't think so on this one!
Agree... Use a Virtual Card. But the wait 1 year to unlock w/ service is a major deal breaker

If you are a current Boost customer eligible for a phone upgrade, then the cost to purchase the phone would be $39 + local tax. One year from now if the account used to buy the phone is still active, Boost will sim unlock the device.

If you are a current Boost customer and NOT eligible for upgrade, then your account will show the retail price of $269.99. It is possible to create a new account with a different email and then buy the Stylus as a new user for $39 + $15. After receiving the new phone and activating it on the new plan, the user could then put the old sim into the new phone. Disabling autopay on the new account would also be needed. Downside of this strategy is Boost will not unlock the phone a year from now since the phone changed accounts.

If you are buying the phone as a new user with one month of service, then there is no obligation other than activating the device. Disable autopay from within the account settings so you will not be charged with for month #2. But then, not paying for 12 months of active service will leave the phone forever sim locked to Boost.

Hoping to find a 3rd party sim unlocker so far for 2023 Boost Motorola phones have not been successful. Seems like there will be a repeat of no 3rd party being able to unlock 2024 models is likely, but that is yet to be determined.
Have you ever tried to SIM unlock a Moto phone through Boost? Any inconvenience? I mean for iPhone and Samsung phones from Boost, they don't need unlock codes, but Moto phones do. Did Boost send you unlock codes for Moto? BTW how many times can you try the unlock codes (incorrect ones) on Boost Moto phones?
