Have to Verify identity on Total by uploading ID to third party and face picture with port number. They have better phones like Galaxy A54 if gonna do all that.

If I want to mainly just use this phone on Wi-Fi for app use and web browsing (couldn't careless if it's locked to boost mobile as it will never be used for cellular device), I can sign up as a new customer with the 1 month activation for a total of $54.99, and upon activation with the new number, cancel autopay, and essentially purchase this device for $55, correct?

That's why I keep my LG V30 and G8 as mp3 players.

S23U. That's why I'm getting rid of it. The edge has been good, idle drain is very low on 5g.
Any good deals on edge ? Did you buy it from eBay ?

From what I have heard, that was what happened last time to some people.

How many times have we answered this question? Also the fine print doesn't indicate anything about paying for MSRP if we cancel service

Use a virtual credit card like Privacy to purchase and then pause it or close it out and there will be no way for them to charge you again. Problem solved.

I have seen no one but like you and one other claim this with no experiences noted, just claims.
Account must be active: If your account is in "suspended" status one-year post initial activation, your Prepaid Device will not be eligible for unlocking until it is out of "suspended" status.

After maintaining the service for 12 months and paying, will it be unlocked that month or the following month?

In the end, do I have to pay for one more month to unlock it in the 13th month?

OP said $55 total. So I assume no need to pay $15 monthly fee after the 1st one.
Then how to maintain service for 12 months if I stop paying monthly fee since the 2nd month?
Ya $55 total, and then a plan price each month for the next 11 months to get it unlocked. Nowhere in the op is anything implying 1 month for unlock.

I can directly proceed to the final page ($54.99) and press the orange <Buy Now> button.
So question:

1. I only need pay the 1st month $15 fee, w/o paying follow monthly fees.. And after 2 months, it will be unlocked automatically?

2. Since I'm on the final page to pay, does it mean that I don't need need the photo ID upload verification?

Thanks.
You're confusing Total by Verizon with Boost.

Took me some time to read through all the comments here, but I just wanted to be sure. Appreciate the response!

Well, for the price and the specs, it's still a good deal for a wifi mp3/mp4/eReader/mini stream TV/emulator/etc… device.

Come on…, most of us SDers have at least 10 of these unused cells phones in their drawers.

Cheers

Only if you have valid payment method on file they can try to charge. Just activate it even if don't use it. The Sim can be swapped to any unlocked phone.

Considering this phone will only have 1 year of software update (+ 3 years of security update), could phone deals like this get even cheaper around Black Friday?
