I just picked one up from my local Costco in Laguna Niguel, CA.

I have a picture for proof but I don't know how to post it through the Slickdeals app

These Genesis II grills have partially open backs and sides. You can see it in the pics. Great for rodents to enter the grill area and nest and eat the drippings. The older Genesis (originals) had complete covering on the side and back. Every newer version of these weber grills get cheapened. That said, the burners are great and I spent a lot of time putting screens to rodent proof my grill.

This is like a $5 milkshake! Is this grill really that good?
They are good, but you can generally find gently used Webers for a fraction of the cost on FB marketplace

I went with strong magnets and screens. Easy to put in place, easy to remove.
That said, if you live where rats are very common, you may need a tougher solution. They can basically gnaw through anything.

I went with #20 mesh stainless screen. I would be surprised if they can gnaw through that! Your idea with magnets is clever. I hope the rodents cant push through

My Weber Genesis just celebrated its 12th Birthday on my back patio yesterday. They are built to last and there are readily available replacement parts for when something does inevitably fail. Good stuff.

A massive 4 burner stainless grill with sear station and a side burner that will last over a decade for 800? On another note, I wish milkshakes were as cheap as $5.

hear ya, my 20 yr old genesis is on it's 2nd or 3rd set of insides (it lives outside under eves, without a cover.)

I love that the old ones have the burners running left to right, so you can use indirect heat on rotisserie. The new ones have burners front to back so you must have the additional side burner for rotisserie
